This site was created to document and share our travels, the purchase and reno of our little camper, and some of our favorite places to travel (with or without our little camper). We hope you enjoy visiting, and learning, with us as we go!

Our Favorite Places.
We have been traveling for years… just not with a camper. However, in our travels there are some areas which have become our favorite places. We will eventually feature them here, give you our opinion on which places we really like and which ones we didn’t like so much.
If you know us, you know our most favorite place of all. We keep going back there as much as we can. But we have never camped there. If you are just getting acquainted with us, you will learn quickly that our favorite place of all is…
Maggie Valley, North Carolina.
We were told of Maggie Valley over twenty years ago. Some friends knew we were going to a retreat in Asheville, NC, which is about thirty miles east of Maggie Valley. They told us we really needed to stop by there and check it out. When we asked, what do you do there? We were simply told, “Nothing.”
Curious, we decided to pop in and just see what was going on. I will leave it there for now. We will discuss Maggie Valley in the future. But for this section, we just wanted to introduce at least one of our favorite places.

Don & Shelley Wilburn live in West Frankfort, a small town in Southern Illinois. Married for 39 years, they have three grown, married children, eight grandchildren, and two Chihuahuas. They love to travel (with or without the camper), have fun, and enjoy doing life together. When they aren’t camping, you can find them zipping down the road in their bright orange Mustang convertible.
